The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith

I don't know why, but for some reason this movies was on a couple of times when I was about 8 / 9. It's fair to say it scarred me for life, but to be equally fair I shouldn't have been watching it in the first place.

I think scarred is a bit strong, but it's imagery has stayed with me as clear as day for over 20 years, I only remembered certain horrific scenes from the culmination of this mad, mad, australian film.

Said culmination being the violent axing to death of an entire family (of just women and children I think) but Jimmy, the half aboriginal psychopath. IMDB describes Jimmy as someone who cracks under the pressures of white life. No you've just described Michael Douglas in "Falling Down".

I remember it as a well made film, just too violent at the end, and I normally dig violent films, but this was too much. That said check it out and confirm my theories.

P.S Dem, if you try it, you'll probably find it as tame as Balamory.
