A new year, a good excuse for a design update.

The new design is not currently that dissimilar to the old one. The page is wider, the look cleaner and clearer. The design is only partially implemented at present, and will change as I add some new features.

Track Me

The first of my new features is called Track Me. This integrates my iPhone with my blog. Rather that perform a normal status update, this will do it and show where I was when I made it. An application on my phone passes the longitude, and latitude to the blog, which will tie in with google maps to show where I've been.

Gallery

A gallery with a difference hopefully. I haven't really thought about it too much but it's going to be different I hope.

Collaborate with me

I like to hear from people, I like to get questions and try to give answers.

In a new feature you'll be able to ask me a question or just kick off a conversation, choose if it's public or private, and the back and forthing will begin. I think it'll be interesting to see how this type of feature evolves in the blogging world. Too many people do their back and forthing in a blog posts comments, often going off topic, often without a clear outcome.

These features are just part of the ever evolving project that is this blog. Many changes occur behind the scenes, but ultimately it makes me into a better programmer and helps with the psychotherapy.
