What Ever Happened To Keylocks and Turbo Buttons

Posted on Thursday, 05 March 2009 11:09

I've been on a trip down memory lane with my buddies, vague recollection and perplexed bemusement.

It's funny how things come back to you but you're up against it with something or other. Today, struggling with work, all of a sudden was shocked, where the hell have key locks gone! I used to love having those little keys on my case, and loved it more when other people had them still attached to their case, so you could watch them smash their keyboards about and reboot their computers for a couple of hours.

Then, as a colleague reminded me, you don't see turbo buttons anymore (or reset buttons for that matter). Ah the hallowed turbo button, or as I called it the spare reset button. As for the turbo button, it appears to be making a recurrance.

Ah, happy memories, now flush them away, as Therapy? sang, "Happy People Have No Stories", and I don't want to deprive the world of more stories....
