long but ultimately uneventful day. Went to boscastle, and then St. Austell. I drove a lot and felt really tired, fascinating stuff.

Boscastle was beautiful, sleepy and quiet. Good parking and facilities. We stopped at a china clay works in St. Austell. There was a flooded clay pit that had the most beautiful azure colour to it, reminiscent of some exotic carribean bay.

Had food in St. Austell town, which was not dissimilar to Carmarthen town, but with less shops and nicer people.
