Snow Leopard - Beware!

Posted on Tuesday, 01 September 2009 07:25

I've installed Snow Leopard, and experienced the first serious computer trouble since buying my iMac.

The probem centres around the updated Boot Camp drivers, read on for more details

As I write this I've had about 2 hours sleep so please be in a forgiving mood for errors of the spelling and grammar kind.

Last night, I popped in my snow Leopard disc while in my bootcamp Windows XP envirionment. Updated all the drivers just to be good, looking forward to the new feature where you can access your Macintosh HD from windows without a third party application like Mac Drive.

Update went well, rebooted, no problems, went to boot into Mac OS, stuck on loading screen with rotating image. Tried several times and then notic that my Macintosh HD is now called EFI Boot. Good stuff, thanks Apple.

Didn't have time to resolve this morning so will try to sort it out tonight. Update to follow.

Update

Had to perform a reformat of the partition and a time machine restore in the end, thank god for Time Machine.
