Ban All Guns

Posted on Thursday, 03 December 2009 22:59

Why do we still need guns in this country?

It's a simple question with a simple answer, we don't.

For years now, as the death toll has risen, I've often wondered, why aren't all guns illegal in Britain?

There is absolutely no need for Air Rifles, Shotguns or any other currently legal weapon amongst the civilian population. There are exceptions which I'll mention but seriously why do we have to have children dying from air rifle wounds on a regular basis?

Why would you need a gun? For hunting? Go fishing or get a computer simulation. Protection? from what? there is no valid excuse that keeps these weapons in our houses.

The exceptions should be mainly obvious. The police, armed forces (clue is in the name) and security services. I also think exceptions should be made for special zoo workers and lion tamers.

Hope the politicians act on this before more children have to die.
