My 2009 Story, Part 2 - The Bad

My story of 2009 continues with the very worst of the years events, it's a long list, but remember you're only reading this, I've had to live with it!

So, now we come to the bad, it's been 182.4 times worse than I can possibly convey here but here's my summary.

Neighbours

Everybody needs good neighbours, and I'm not different. The defining problem of the year was my long running battle with the neighbours. Their total lack of consideration in blasting music at all hours has driven me to a point I don't think I can ever recover from. Police were involved, councillors, MP's etc. and now I think things are okay. They've been quiet for a couple of months now so hopefully the worst is behind us.

Money

Oh, what a year it's been for money. Since moving it's been an absolute nightmare, and with baby 2 on the way things are only going to get better if I can get a pay rise. I feel like I was thoroughly used in 2009, 2010 will be different, I've learned from my experiences, and hopefully will be shrewder.

Dennis

A really sad event for me was my favourite Uncle finally succumbing to semi-senility. He's in a home right now and I suppose the best you could describe him is as "Confused". I'm gutted because it's a reminder what could be waiting for any of us.

A very intelligent man, he got me into some fantastic books from a young age. I used to love staying at his house, up in the back bedroom with a book at night and reading the paper with him the next morning. I've got really pleasant memories drinking endless cups of tea there and talking, learning, playing. I really really miss him. I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing my thoughts are drifting towards the 1989 movie "Dream Team" about a bunch of nutters on a day out. We'll have our time Uncle Dennis.

Car Blowing Up

My beloved, my Altea, blew up on me and I'm now forced to sell her. It's painful to talk about so in the words of Forrest Gump, that's all I have to say about that.

Xbox 360 Blowing Up

Continuing the pyrotechnics is my xbox, long considered extinct, I managed to resurrect this sucker, several times in fact, before ultimately getting fed up and leaving the red ringed bastard to its fate. Burn in hell, I miss you.

I may re-fix it again, as I really miss playing Trials HD, the most frustrating but satisfying game since I played Operation Flashpoint 20 minutes ago.
