This site is a self-contained low down on what's going on in my life, what I'm working on, what I'm thinking about, and how I'm feeling about life in general.

I have a lot of wishes I know, most posts start with "I wish".
Today, I wish that I knew more about politics, it's something that I've always found interesting, apart from when I found it boring (pre-clinton).
I look at the world today and it is a sorry state, a dwindling economy with massive recession on the horizon, so-called super powers waging war thousands of miles away, and through it all, a beleaguered Labour party is consuming itself with infighting and disarray instead of assuring the public that it's doing what is necessary to ensure stability will return and inflation will go down.
I want Labour to stay in power, I think ultimately, Gordon Brown, through his years as Chancellor brought us prosperity and improvements to the quality of life for millions of UK citizens. Now he's Prim Minister I think we're a lot better off than we could be with happy-clapping tax cutting eco-warrior fascist bastards at the helm.
It would be great if all of the usurpers and wanna-be's within the Labour party could stop for a second, and ask themselves if they want to survive the next election? If they do, they needed to stop fueling media furor and speculation about the Prime Minister, and damn well support the man.
Another wish I have is that people in the public sector would stop going on strike for a bigger pay increase. Yes inflation is up and some of you are finding it hard to cope, but if you get more money, it has to come from from somewhere else in the public domain, helloooo, economic crisis mean anything to you. Most of the people within the councils who are striking are on decent money anyway, this is either a move of greed or stupidity. The stupid ones being the ones who see the propaganda of the unions and follow it mindlessly. One of the things I find encouraging is that people cannot afford to strike and lose a days pay here and there.
The country is going to the dogs, I think I'll emigrate to a country where I can live like a king for the rest of my life for about £60.
Well I should be uploading photos of the house so far, it's coming on well, with our bedroom nearly finished, should be done by Saturday.
I'm off next week so won't get too much done unfortunately.
Peace all, p.s. someone organise a curry! I'm in, if you can make it soon, I'll buy a round :)
